I am planning the build of my first AR15.
While researching uppers and options, I've come across a number of options for a gas piston conversion for the AR 15. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they worth the expense (some run upwards of $300)? What are the benefits of gong with the conversion? Being my first rodeo, I'll be referring to this section of the forum fairly often.
