i ordered my 20" barrel and now im getting ready to purchase the stuff for it
Im looking at a 12" FreeFloat Handguard with Low-Profile Gas Block (.750) But the gas tube length is confusing me.... If a rifle length gas tube is 15" how long would my handgaurd have to be?? |
| Rifle length gas tube is about 13 inches long. A 12" handguard is the rifle length standard but your gas block will be exposed. This is good for railed gas blocks or front sight bases. If you were wanting the rail to go over the low profile gas block you will need a 15" handguard. |
| Thanks =) I got a 15" freefloat, with a troy .750 gas block, a stainless steel gas tube with the roll pin, and a YHM-28a flash hider. I have all the parts for my build except my barrel... I ordered a 20" Red X Arms Stainless Steel straight fluted 5.56 HBAR from brownells. Cant wait to get this done. hopefully just in time for this crudddy winter weather cycle to break.
