| Do the tubes build up with carbon? if so what is proper cleaning methods ? Also if excessive smoke is coming from inside the throat , is there an obstruction preventing the gas tube to function ? I m not saying I have excessive gas coming from there , but I can see that it does get emitted especially with dirty ammo |

I have not heard of a gas tube stopping up in a very long time.
If you want to see for yourself Brownell’s sells long pipe cleaners for cleaning gas tubes and there are any number of sprays cleaners you could squirt into the tube. If the weapon is not short stroking there is not a problem. Can’t say I have ever seen excessive smoking sounds like lube where there should not be any. If it is ammo related don’t shoot the ammo. |
