This has most likely been answered here before but I'm new and didn't want to read all the past pages. I justbought an Eagle Arms m15 and one of the mods I want to do is cut down my front sight and make my gas block a low profile. I've read up on the process and I'm ready to start. I know most taper pins knock out left to right but some don't. Mine appear to be the same size on both ends and I just want to be sure mine go left to right too, thanks, Tom PS I haven't played with an AR since Uncle Sam's in 1971 so I'm a bit rusty

I know this is not the answer you're looking for but I would sell the upper and build an upper with the parts you really want.

Only way to be sure is to measure.

If one side is bigger than the other, you knock out from smaller side to bigger.  If they are the exact same size, it doesn't matter which way you go.

My guess is left to right, but I don't want to go read past pages, either, or go measure my own M15 - I leave that as an exercise for you, OP.
