| I have a RA ultra match barrel and no gas block for it. I have heard and read that most .75 gas blocks will not work and rainier is out of stock on the match gas block. Does any one know of one that would work with a match grade barrel. I was going to switch to a noveske barrel but they are out of stock as well. |
| Measure your gas block journal diameter. Any gas block with that Inner Diameter will fit it, and function, as long as it is made correctly. Gas blocks don't know what caliber they are on, all they care about is a fitting home that will love them and keep them warm. |

I did measure the barrel it is .75 on the dot........I was just thinking if my barrel is .75 and the block is only .75 then that may not work or am I over thinking this.......1st build from the ground up. |

They need to be tight, since the gas port pressure will be around 10,000 psi. Any deviation in ID of the block to the larger end equals gas leakage. I only use steel gas blocks on all my blasters, even though you can get away with an aluminum block with a rifle-length system for a little while, on low-volume shooting that won't heat it up too much. I have burnt up DPMS lo-pro classic gas blocks on a carbine, resulting in short-stroking induced by gas leakage. Get a quality steel block from JP, PRI, or Badger Ordnance if you want an adjustable block, which I recommend for the larger AR's and alternate calibers if you're dealing with a lot of different bullet weights & charges. |

Is that .75 or . 750? |

| Same barrel I used on my last build. I used a Vltor clamp-on low profile gas block. No problems and runs great. I used to use set screw type gas blocks on my builds but had occasional minor issues with getting the gas block on the barrel. A clamp-on allows slight spreading with a screw driver and slides on easy as pie. |
