| I have a factory M&P15OR that came with a pinned and railed gas block. I'm wanting to remove my delta ring / carbine handguard setup and replace it all with a 13" Troy VTAC Alpha and low pro gas block. My build barrel had dimples for set screws. Does the M&P have dimples (doubtful) and if NOT what are the best options? |

No dimpels on that barrel, it is pinned on. Have used the clamp on style gas blocks with no problems. Here's YHM's version: LINK

I don't have one, but I've read more than one report of this gas block not working with the Troy Alpha/VTAC handguards (too big on the bottom where it clamps). I would do some research on the DD or VLTOR clamp ons and see if one of them would fit. |
