Went to a course recently.  Bought the ammo there to use.

After about 5 magazines I started having double feed problems which stayed with me rest of day.
That evening when we (students) were doing our cleaning I found that my gas rings were deformed out side of their little notch in the bolt (I found this by not being able to re-seat my bolt back into the carrier).
I also found that three other students shooting the same ammo had the same problem.
At least half of the class was using the same ammo with zero problems.  Each of us having problems had various brands and barrel lengths, on commonality was the ammo.
I will not name the ammo - because so many others has great luck with it.

Any thoughts

While I don't totally know exactly what your talking about.... I have had on new ring sets a tough time to get them back in the bolt carrier after they been placed on a bolt. It's actually pretty normal IMO. They set in after a while and get easyier. They are just expanded and will easy up ater normal use. IMO.  What I call a double feed is two live rounds trying to be fed at the same time. That should be a mag issue. Stick with only USGI mags of good quality/ shape and I als like the C Product mags.  Check your feed lips to issure thay ar no split and or BENT . Good luck sir.  WarDawg
