I just did my first barrel swap and want to make sure nothing bad is going to happen when I pull the trigger. When I installed the gas tube I slid it back into the upper then forward into the sight base. I can't remember whether the gas port was up or down but there was only one way that the tube would fit because of its shape. So I lined up the roll pin slot and tapped the pin back into place. The bolt carrier slides freely in the upper as always and shells load and eject as normal. Just wanted to verify that I reinstalled the gas system correctly.

Sounds good, if you're not sure you might want to remove it to make sure it's right, If it is in wrong the rifle wont cycle properly

So worse case scenario it would just not cycle properly? No BOOM? Thats all I need to know because as far as I can tell with this being my first swap I did everything right. I just dont want to lose an upper or some fingers or anything.
