| I'm looking for a trigger for my SBR build. I will be going with Geissele. I already own an SSA-E trigger and love it. I am curious about their Super Speed Precision single stage trigger. I am also interested in the Super Tricon trigger for the trigger shape. The trigger will be going in a 300 blackout SBR and will be used for back yard target shooting, deer hunting under 100 yards, and home defense if needed. My decision will be between these three triggers. I really like my SSA-E in my 556 ar but I would like to try something different for this build maybe. What do you guys think? |

If you do change your mind, the Larue is great. I bought it around the same time as my SSA-E. The SSA-E is definitely lighter and crisper, but for the price difference I would have been happy with the Larue.
Larue went in my 14.5" and the SSA-E into my SPR. Neither have actually been shot at the range yet so I can't comment on that. The Larue is a fine trigger for the money. It broke at about 3/4lb heavier than my SSA-E, and the face of the trigger is just a little wider. |

The SSP trigger is not yet released, it's coming sometime this year, but I don't have a hard street date for it.
The Tricon is personally my favorite trigger, and I currently have it on a 10.2" AR Pistol and it's as perfect there as it was on my 16" gun. Let us know if you've got any questions! |

I have used and installed a lot of Geissele triggers of various models and my favorite all around trigger is the SD-E. In have never tried the Tricon though. The G2S is impressive after it is broken in and reflects a great value. |
| Does anyone else have any input? I have decided between the Super Speed Precision, and the Super Tricon. I assume the Super Tricon is pretty much the SSA with the hybrid trigger bow. Like stated earlier, I have the SSA-E. Just a thought, but I wonder if Geissele would sell me an SSA-E with the tricon trigger bow? |

Why do people insist on putting really light and short pull triggers in potential HD rifles?
Similar logic applies to rifles as it does pistols. I personally like a nice 2 stage in the 5-5.5lb range for HD, I can go lower depending on the role the rifle is to serve. |
| I've tried both Geissele SSA-E "own 2" and the Larue MBT.. I like the SSA-E a lot more.. NOT because I'm a fanboy, lol I've alway have been a Larue fan.. Now I'm in the market for a new trigger.. I think I'll try the Super Tricon this time.. It was my #1 choice but never pulled the trigger on it.. Jyst waiting on a good sale for it.. |

If you go to the Geissele web site, they have this really useful thing they call "Trigger Selection Guide." It might be within the realm of possibility that the company who makes the triggers might know at least a little bit about which of their triggers are best suited for specific applications. Just sayin... |

Sooooo? lol What is your initial opinion? Have you had any experience with the ssa-e or any other geissele triggers beforehand? |

Sorry for the delay, but I HAVE NOT fired with live rounds yet, nothing but dry firing "hundred of times" I like it, ut would really like to shoot for my final thoughts..

Well I knocked the dust off the ole credit card and ordered a super tricon trigger today durring the Geissele 4th of July sale lol but still let me know how you like yours when you get around to it. Also, would anyone like a standard trigger guard? I have one that came with my lower parts kit and will not be using it.

Just got my Super Tricon in the mail today and man I actually really like it. I mean I knew I wouldn't be disappointed but, somehow it seams smoother than my SSA-E (maybe due to the heavier weight?) I really like the trigger profile and from just 10 minutes of playing with it, I think I may actually like it better than my SSA-E.
Though the SSA-E may be better suited for more long range target applications due to its SLIGHTLY lighter trigger pull, I don't see any reason the Super Tricon wouldn't do well at it. I emphasize slightly lighter because though you can tell it is that one pound heavier durring the first stage pull, the trigger profile seems to make it feel about the same at the break. I definitely believe I made the right trigger decision for this home defense / hunting / target / all around shooting build. Extremely happy with it! This will not be my last Super Tricon trigger. |
