| I am working on a build and am torn between the Bill Springfield Trigger and trying the Geissele SSA. I know technically these are 2 different monsters as one is a 2 stage and one is a single stage. I like the 2 stage aspect as i still have a few bad habits i am trying to correct with my trigger pulls, but I have been shooting single stage triggers for a while and am kind of drawn to having a nice crisp single stage. Any comments, opinions, or reviews from people who have tried one or both are appreciated. |
| I have two triggers with Bill Springfield's treatments, one three pound with the lightened hammer and spring and one 4 pound, and both are great. I plan on sending a few more triggers his way. I do not have a Geissele trigger yet, but I really wish I did, I have heard nothing but great things about them, especially the higher end adjustables, but also about the SSA's |

I haven't tried one of Springfield's triggers yet. But then I have a couple of AR's with rather nice standard triggers in them.
I do have a Geissele SSA in my 6.8 SPC carbine and it's incredible! I also have on of his High Speed (fully adjustable) triggers in my heavy barrel. Best trigger I've ever had the oppertunity to pull! I would say try a Springfield trigger first because it's so much cheaper. I'm sure you'll like it but if you still have doubts then buy the Geissele SSA. And welcome aboard!

I have a couple of Bill Springfield's triggers, and I love them. However, they are not equal to a good, quality trigger. I've got a buddy with a Timney 3lb. that I lust after, so I will be spending the money on one of those in the near future.
When you shoot one of Bill's triggers, you'll say, "That's a nice trigger." Then you'll shoot a nice 2 stage, and you'll say, "Damn, so that's where the money goes." |
