I have a SSA-E, I am wondering if I buy the service kit for the DMR or NM Rifle can I replace the springs in my SSD-E with those from the Hi-Speed National match series and get a lighter pull weight?
This idea come to mind when I leaned about The Geissele V Tac trigger, which is a S3G w/ a different spring (I think from the SD-C, the "Gold" spring) giving it a heavier pull by 1 lb. |

If you are just swapping springs the worst you can do is have it not work. At that point you are only in it for an extra set of springs. If you do this please let us know how it works as I'm sure others would be interested. I am interested to see if it works out. I may give Bill a call and see what he has to say about it. As a side not I just got my hands on a LaRue MBT, have not shot it yet, just dry fired.... feels dam good. The break is very crisp and there is less over travel than in the SSA-E. I will provide a more detailed comp after I get to the range. |

Total pull through weight? Stage one is only 2.3 lbs and stage two is only 1.2 lbs now. Do you want to go lighter, especially stage two? I have an SSA-E and would not want a lighter setup on a tactical rifle. To go lighter would point to a single stage dedicated bench gun, I would think. |
