I own a S&W MP15 and have no problems removing/installing military triggers. I have no experience with 2-stage triggers. When I dropped-in the Geissele, the trigger sticks in the rear and has an extremely hard pull. I'm thinking its a clearance issue, but I wanted to see if anyone had dealt with this before I send it to a gunsmith.

Already checked:
1) Hammer spring on top.
2) No clearance issue with pistol grip screw.
3) Not much clearance in the back of the opening through which the trigger fits, but it seems like enough.

Thanks,
Steve

Sounds like the "tail" of the trigger (the part that engages the safety), might be hitting the radius in the back of the receiver. Take a feeler gauge and see if you have clearance on the sides. If not, you can grind a matching radius on the tail.

I just installed one that had a similar problem. It was hanging up on the safety. The notch was not wide enough which was causing it to bind up. I opened up the slot some and all was well after that.

Many thanks. Time to go to the gunsmith.
