Hi all,

Hoping someone might be able to point me to a link to Numrich or a similar company who sell the 30 round magazine like the one ciener uses. I am after just the mag, not the AR15 top fittings, just the bare mag. I know they do a bare 15 round one but I am hoping for a 30 round one.

Kyle,
    I hope this helps - www.e-gunparts.com/featureproduct.asp?chrProductSKU=930680&Super=Y&MC=YJ

I've used these myself to make hi-cap mags for 22 conversion units that don't have them. These mags at Numrich Arms have a nice body but the followers are a little rough and believe it or not, they come with two springs inside --I think this is the reason they are shown as 15 round mags -- just remove one of the springs.

so will removing one of the springs make it a 30 rnd?

Do you have any pics of your convesions and what do they work on?

I wonder, could a mag block be made to work with these mags?  Something similar to the 9mm settups?

I have no idea why the second spring was put in but all it seemed to do was screw it up.
The mag body is just like a Ciener and the follower spring goes in the tube shaped front part of the mag -- the second spring (same as the coil spring in the tube section) was stuffed into the main part of the mag body and had no guide or support so it messed things up. I said the mags could be used for 30 round mags but the truth is more like 25 rounds due to the mag followers not being high quality. replacement parts from Ciener work just fine in these mag bodies.

This is a picture of some hi-caps I made for my M261 unit. The mag on the left is a Numrich mag, the mag in the middle is a modified Ciener and on the right is the unmodified mag body from Numrich.

Back when I got the mags from Numrich they cost a lot less. There is always a possibility of making a magblock for the Numrich mags -- it just takes time and patience.

thanks for the pics.  I am going to be getting a 22 conversion kit sometime soon.  I wan the cz because it is a dedicated upper, but I hate that there are no good hicap mags for it.
