I'm looking for some shooting gloves to wear when I'm shooting (duh ).  I would like something that fits snug, but stays relatively cool, with grippy fingers.  My hands sweat a lot, though, so I don't know what that'll do to the gloves.  I'm looking to stay in the $20-$40 price range.  Any suggestions?

they havent tried out friction fighter nt.
if they did they would be saying southwestmotorsports.com. and far as hatch i'm not impressed, just like any other glove out there. i am not affiliated with swmotorsports in any way, just a superior product bar none!

Those friction fighters do look pretty good.  Do they come in a short glove, ie ends at the cuff?

i'll throw in my vote for SWMS.  FF and the maxgrip are great gloves. i did a review on them here:

ghost - they do not come in short cuffs.  and they're out of the price range you stated.
cheers,

Well, if they are good gloves, I'm willing to spend a little more (within reason...don't tell me these are $300 pairs of gloves ).  How are the Heat Grip CT gloves?  Are they useful for shooting, general hand protection, etc?

ghost,
my friction fighter nt were $80.00. no cost for shipping. the others are cheaper on price. call the ladies over there and they will be happy to answer all your questions.

Ouch, they are expensive.  Do they make your hands feel like they are in an oven?

the heat grip CT are great all-round gloves if you don't want the flight-style gloves, and they're prefect for shooting and general use.  no padding on the palms and ventilated fingers.
tell them 'militarymoron' sent you if you call them.

"Mechanix" brand gloves.  Get them at Auto zone and use a black marker to color over the yellow markings.

They are the heat.

Better yet, just get the "Stealth" version - all black .  THe M-Pact II's are short,

SWMS all the way.  I have worn Hatch, Hellstorm, and the rest.  SWMS beats them all for fit, comfort, feel, and protection - plus they are great folks to deal with.

Another vote for SWMS gloves, Impact II and Cold Weather gloves are great heavy duty gloves.  I also have Hatches and they are good, just not as good as SWMS.  If your gov't they have GSA pricing.
