Before I go and order these guages to check headspace on a barrel exchange I'm doing on an upper I want to make sure there the right ones. Here is a link to them:

6.8 Go/ No Go Gauges for Sammi chamber

It says there for the Sammi chamber. Would this be the correct gauges for a SPC II chamber also. I purchased a Bison Armory 20" Spec-II chamber, 4-groove 1:11" twist rifling. 5/8-24 muzzle thread with M4 feed ramps and the intermediate gas system. I will be mating it to a Rock River upper that I'm taking the original 16" barrel off of. I'm thinking about using the old bolt with the old carrier because I only have around 12-15 rounds on that bolt through that upper. I want to check the headspace before I shoot it. If this isn't a wise choice given the fact I have shot 12-15 rounds with this bolt through another barrel  I will get a new one but I still want to check the headspace. Is this the right guages for this SPC II chamber on this barrel? and Would you use the old bolt with this barrel if the headspace was correct? and What bolt would you recommend if it's not a good idea?

Tag for outcome.

Me - I'd ask Bison what they use.

If you have a new barrel from Bison you should be good to go with the bolt you have.  Bison does very good work and with normal use, your bolt shouldn't be stressed yet.  Unless you're setting up a match rifle, the gauges are a waste of money with the info you've given.

If you're just one of those guys that simply has to know just for personal peace of mind (I'm one too), and has extra buck$ to blow, the two chambers have exacty the same dimentions.

The only difference between the two reamers is the throat length (reduces chamber pressures) & you can't measure that with a Go/NoGo.

The headspace dimensions are identical, those gauges will tell you what you need to know.

Thanks a lot guys. I may end up getting a super bolt from ar performance anyway and just using the RRA carrier with both bolts. That way I don't really have to worry.
