I was thinking about getting a EoTech but from what I am reading the Aimpoint would be best for me.. Now I do need to know what would be better a 2 moa Dot or 4 moa Dot?
Im prolly just gonna order it from LaRue so I get the mount and all that and another thing will it co witness with my FSB or will it be in the way? I would think the LaRue mount would bring it up but I have never used them.. Im gonna go check out some gun shops on my day off (fri) and see what I can do and if someone has a M2 or M3 at a Ok price then I might just pick it up on the spot but I will prolly end up getting it from LaRue since it will come with there mount.. I just want to keep my AR as light as I can.. the Aimpoint then down the line DD Omega Rail, FUG (FVG) and a Light.. but for now just the Aimpoint on my new LMT upper. Anyway if you guys can let me know if the 2 MOA dot will help me a bit with groups or not that would be nice.. it will be for Target shooting 99.9% of the time, other then that it will be for defending my house.. I figer a Aimpoint would be best for that. |

a 2 MOA dot will cover roughly a 2" circle at 100 yds. A 4 MOA dot will cover roughly a 4" circle at 100 yds.
The more accurate choice (shooting smaller groups) is the 2 MOA.....but the 4 MOA is faster to pick up and plenty good enough for combat distances––keep in mind that you can crank the brightness knob up and pick up the 2 MOA really fast too. I have one of each.....to be honest, I don't even notice a difference between the two. |
