My poor man's match ammo is prvi partizan 75 grain or hornaday TAP practice 75 grain. My testing has shown the prvi to have a slight edge in accuracy. I get about 1.5 MOA with both from a bench from a service rifle upper (tricked out AR15 A2).

Check the molon threads for details.

Should we guess what caliber you have there?

I am going to guess and say you have a 223 rifle, since this is an AR15 fourm and 223 is the most popular round here.
I reload for accuracy, however if you want store bought ammo I suggest this. Federal Premium Gold Medal Match.
Here is a box of the most accurate store bought ammo I have ever tried. YMMV
There are 2 types of ammo for target practice. IMHO
1. Target ammo that is nothing more than plinking ammo.
2. Target ammo that will win in a competition or a match between friends.
If you want to see the full potentional of your gun, get good target ammo or reload your own.
Because if you don't every shot is just a lucky throw at the target to see if the next bullet will hit closer.
Also remember I speaking about good target ammo, Not Plinking ammo, Not SHTF ammo, Not self defense ammo.

ETA: I know there are other brands out there just as good but not any better, this is just my findings..

Mutually exclusive.

Accuracy costs money. How much do you want to spend?

Federal Gold Medal Match seems to be the standard against which all factory ammo is judged for accuracy.

Having said that, I strongly recommend you consider reloading. You can get a basic setup for fairly cheap and make ammo that exceeds the quality of factory ammo for even less money.

When I was 21 years old I bought my first M1A. Before too long I found that that rifle really liked the expensive factory ammo. Thus I started reloading my own for MUCH cheaper.

Best move I ever made when it comes to the firearms hobby. I don't think you'll meet anyone who regretted getting into the reloading scene.

But it isn't for everyone, I guess. Some folks just don't have the time.

Aside from the Federal, Black Hills makes great ammo that at times can be hard to find. Also consider Hornady Match. Accurate and inexpensive don't really go together.

Good luck!
