PRI makes a nice, very rigid mount that will cowitness in the lower portion of the window.

Bennie Cooley has a good height-adjustable mount also.

I just bought one from "gunbroker" and I was shocked how nice it was for the price. This thing was awesome, and it has 2 side rails that can be removed. I cowitnessed my aimpoint perfectly, price was under $36.00. You have to atleast check it out.

Larue makes one also, although I have heard mixed reviews

The only negative ones however involved 'color' -as the sample was bronze, I believe (I have seen them black also)

Check out Bennie Cooley's Adjustable Mount. I have one and one can adjust it to Co-Witness just like you want.

Aimpoint makes their own and it is OK. The #39 is really the best option for the Aimpoint...

I have the Aimpoint ring and gooseneck mount right now. The aimpoint seems to sit slightly high for really good co-witness.

When I look through the irons I see my front sight post, but none of the base. It looks better on my 20" because the front sight is further away, but when I swaped it to the carbine the front sight is closer and looks "bigger".

That is actually not a bad thing. Your BUIS are just that "back up" and you want as little of them in your sight picture as possible IMHO....
