I have about $60-$75 in gift certiciates for barnes and nobles to burn.

Any reccomendations for books? I was looking into some of the books by Gabrielle Suarez, are those pretty good?

Try "Generation Kill" by Evan Wright.  Recon Marines during invasion, unbelievable!!!

"The Ayoob Files" by Massad Ayoob is also excellent.  He's the founder of LFI (Lethal Force Institute) and does a play by play on 10 or so police and civillian shootings, including the Miami FBI shootout.  Very educational, more practical than the Suarez series.

A few of my favorites this year were:
1.  Thunder Run by Zucchino--great 1st hand account of the armored units that made the 1st runs into Baghdad during OIF.
2.  THe March UP by West--great 1st hand account of the 1st Marine Division in OIF.
3.  None Braver by Hirsh-- follows Air Force PJs and other SOFs in OEF.
