LOL!...I know what you mean about a tight safe.  Socks do help a good deal for some cushion and scratch prevention.  Sounds like you have already addressed corrosion.  Depending on the safe construction and the location in which one lives, dust may not be as much of an issue as long as the door remains closed except for taking out and putting up guns.  One thing to consider on these socks IMO is how you probably need to make sure you have scope caps or scope covers on the scopes.  The impregnated silicon in the sock is usually kind of oily feeling and will leave an oily smear on the scope lens unless there's a reasonably long sun shade installed on the objective.
