I'd like to take a course on AR gunsmithing.  At this point I want to learn it more as a hobby, not really sure if it's something I want to do as a job.  So for this reason I don't want to spend a ton of money on the course.  Are the gunsmithing courses advertised in the back of magazines/shotgun news decent course, does anyone know?  If not, does anyone know of a low cost alternative.  I'm not looking for one in which I have to travel –– I'm a family man with obligations.  So it would have to be online/mail or in SE Wisconsin.

Thanks for any info.

Sully teaches a 2 day armorers course.  I thought the course was worth the money.
It includes everything you need to know to build an AR from a box of parts, maintain it, and fix basic problems.

Here is the calendar on his website: calender
Other pages have the class outline.

Thanks, I've watched most of their videos, they are very good.  MidwayUSA also has some pretty good videos.
