So I have been messing around with Gunstruction, trying to come up with a build for my wife. Trying to go smooth shooting and semi light weight. (wife is very petite)

Tell me what you think on overall design. The lower will be made from a 80% receiver and I already have the buffer tube assembly and A2 grip. Upper will most likely be Aero Precision. Barrel will be 16" mid gas (not sure about the brand yet). I like the 5.56 tactical 11" handguards. Any input on different stock and flash hider/com appreciated.

If you want it to be light weight I would look for a light weight barrel (not sure if Aero has those). I would also take a look at the new BCM KMR rail. I haven't used one but I hear that they are really light

I used a BCM 16 inch midlength light weight barrel with standard A2 flash hider for my GF's build.  13 inch Troy VTAC rail.  Magpul CTR stock.

She chose to have her upper and lower cerakoted burnt bronze, the deal before I assembled it was that she would choose a practical color.

She is a lean 5'8" barrel racer that can handle my other rifles for the most part.  Her gun turned out very light and handy, as such she can handle longer periods of shooting without a rest period.
