Is there such a thing as a 16inch HBAR? I thought they only came in 20 inch. If so got a pic of one?

Oh, there certainly is.........

But HBar's SUCK. I've gone to superlights, M4 or gov't profile 20's across the board

I had one of my hbars contoured and the other i left alone. when i have to buy new barrels, they will be govt profile. nothing really wrong with an hbar though...

Good point.............. so what "use" is an hbar?

I've own both. I don't find an accuracy or heating difference between them. I do find a tremendous difference holding them, and moving them.

Scientifically speaking an HBAR is suppose to dissipate heat more efficiently; at least that’s why I'm glad my Elite came with one.

i thought it just took longer to heat up the extra steel... it takes forever for one to cool down froma beta dump. my contoured barrel heats up quick, but cools quick too...

Here is a 16" A2 carbine with an HBAR......

As far as the discussion that has been sparked.......I like mine, if you don't then don't buy one. I think that pretty much sums it up.

actually, an HBAR has about the same surface area as a govt profile (because of the step downs on the govt profile versus the straight cylinder on the HBAR). chris was right--it takes longer to heat up the extra mass of an Hbar, but once it is heated up, it takes longer to cool back down.
