[ARCHIVED THREAD] - HEAVY trigger pull with new upper??? WITH PIC

I have two factory Olys rifles that when used with the factory uppers have a nice, crisp triiger pull around 4 pounds. I just got a like new Colt SP1 upper with a RRA b/bc/ch and the trigger is terrible. It must be at least 9 or ten pounds. WTF????

And thus, the WTF. I don't understand it either. Lower with factory upper=good triiger pull. Same lower with this upper=shitty trigger pull. Again, WTF??????

Maybe when you had your old upper off some of that nasty white stuff drifted into your lower and formed a layer of crusty ice in the FCG.

Seriously though, have you taken it apart and back together since the trigger pull problem started? Maybe you have a blown primer or other small debris lodged in the trigger group and that is the origin of the problem. I can't otherwise think of how the upper could effect the trigger pull.

Oly lowers are notorious for not playing well with others. Usualy the takedown pins don't line up with other name uppers. Don't know how it could change the trigger pull. I doubt the hammer is rubbing anywhere.

If you are using crappy ammo, search the FCG area for primers.
