I was attempting my 1st cleaning of my RRA M4 and I went to run my otis flex rod with a patch through the barrel.  It is now stuck in the barrel and I can't get it out.  I've tried reversing it, and twisting the rod about 200 times to try and free it up.  Any ideas?  God forbid a gunsmith answers their phone on a Sunday.

Stuck at the chamber end or muzzle end?  IOW which way did you insert it?

Breech to muzzle and it's stuck at the beginning of the barrel by the breech, but too far in to reach it.

Squirt a  small amount of CLP or oil in the chamber and firmly press the stuck brush out ( from chamber to muzzle ) with a conventional metal rod.

Yup I put a bunch of CLP in the barrel and I was able to pull it through.  That cleaning kit will be going in the trash.  Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about one of the cable type flex rods?  If you don't want it, I do!  What you take for it?

I basically destroyed it getting it out.  I threw it away.  The rest of the kit is very handy, but I'll be sticking to the standard rods from now on.

Otis is not all it is made out to be. A good rod will clean MUCH MUCH better. Otis is good for a quick field cleaning like a bore snake. When you get home use a rod, jag, brush for a good cleaning.
