I want to piece together a 20'' A2 to be as close to milspec as possible. This means that it MUST have a 1/7 Goverenment Profile BBL. However, I do not see alot of these being offered. I see my options as being: -Buy an M16A2 surplus upper (WHERE THE HELL DO I FIND ONE, I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOREVER) and find a matching lower -Special order a Bushmaster (being a Colt fan, this one hurts) -anyone else know what I can do to make this process as easy as possible? Thanks! Note: BIY is out of the question since I am way too worried that I will mess something up with the upper, the lower I can put together however. |

What I would (and have done so already) is find a A2 upper receiver from Colt first, then look for barrel separately. If Colt barrel is hard to find, then see if you can find FNMI or even Bushmaster will do (mine is currently Bushmaster 1/7 government profile). Next project will be an A1.
