ive got the quad rail free float tube from oly arms and the way it works is a barrel nut with exterior threads that the tube screws on to, problem is the gas tube holes will only line up hand-tight,if i use my armorers wrench to tighten as much as  i can the holes WILL NOT line up it sticks right in  between the holes actually. the rifle will still function and everything the only noticable problem is that the forend wobbles, but it freaking scares me that it does that. any suggestions?

Clean the Barrel nut and threads on the Upper reciever. Grease them lightly then try and thread the barrel nut back on applying 30 to 80 lbs of torque. (A good mans push) If it dosn't work, back the nut all the way off and try again.

thanks mathecb for the tip, i tried it and got it a little tighter and after a considerable amount of trying to force it and a couple of light blows with a rubber mallet (im really not that strong enough to torque it that much) ive gotten it adjusted right. thanks again!

Is that the FIRSH?

Careful, I purchased one in the EE a couple of years ago.  The seller had installed it using too much torque and actually twisted the barrel nut as it is plastic.  I had to replace it.

Careful with the torque.

yes it is the FIRSH, but my barrel nut appears to be aluminum and ive got it installed now okay and dont plan on taking it off anytime soon!
