Anyone used one of these on an AR? It seems to be the same idea as the holosight but uses AAA bateries........ Any comments, likes or dislikes? bushnell.com/products/riflescopes/specs/53-0021.cfm |

They are also marketed as being lower than the original Holosight (and EOTech). Since even the EOTech is considered (by some) to be a tad low when mounted directly to a flat-top, I can't imagine this thing being useable without some type of riser mount. I'm sure they're just fine for a lot of applications, but for an AR specifically, I'd rather have an EOTech, or even a standard Holosight. |
| They are Junk. the screen is way smaller than a standard eotech, and the screen itself is very fragily built inside the hood. Not nearly as robust as a standard eotech. I bought one when they first came out, and promptly sent it back for a refund. For the money, buy a used eotech and you'll be alot better off. |
no risers necessary. we dropped one on a customers rig the other week. it turned out well.
so you didn't like it. okay. that was a first gen. since when is anything worth a damn in gen 1? also it's ALOT cheaper than an eotech. most vendors can sell them around $200 (unless they are greedy. dealer cost is <around> $180.) |
