Can I use a H Buffer with a semi auto BCG or are they just for full auto BCG

they type of carrier doesnt affect any parts.

You need to look at the way that YOUR rifle runs.  FA BCG's have more weight, and can get away with lighter buffers, while a SA BCG is lighter in the rear, and it does not hurt to use heavy or H2 buffers, so long as you test them.

I have a BCM FA BCG that will run with a "H" buffer, but will short stroke with a H2.  My wife's rifle has a RRA SA BCG and runs fine with that H2 buffer.  How much of that is the individual rifles and how much of that is the type of carrier I do not know.
