My older LMT Defender lower only had the standard carbine buffer when I got it and I haven't seen any new lowers with the H buffers.

LMT H buffers are available from AR15.com LMT dealers such as Rainier Arms, Operation Parts, etc.

my 2006 SHOT show special Defender 2000 (Ambi Safety, ERGO grip, SOPMOD stock) had the H buffer in it...

That's not fair, you got a special SHOT show model.

Maybe some LMT dealers here could clarify it.
