Has anyone tried Hahn's light mount? Seems to be a good option for those of us without railed fore ends.

Nice looking unit but I ordered one for customer to attach his LAS/TAC to and it didn't fit the bayonet lug.

I thought that this mount attached to the barrel--not the bayo. lug

It does but you slide it back against the FSB & lug for proper attachment.

My RRA midlength has a neutered bayonet lug thanke to the AWB. I will contact hahn to see if this is an issue.

The picatinny section is supposed to be on the TOP of the barrel where you mount the light.  Should clear a MIL-STD bayo unless it is upside down.

I dont want to mount the light on top of my barrel. I guess I will try something else. Thanks for the info

Although unconventional to what is the typical "fashion", mounting the light on top of the barrel eliminates any of the barrel shadowing in your sight picture......the light itself is better protected......the light switches are easily recognized and accessed.

It was on top and the customer's rifle was a Bushmaster I believe, I still have the mount and will have to dig it up to see exactly where it was off.

At best, the only light switch that will work is a tapeswitch with the Hahn mount due the FSB being in the way.  The Hahn mount would be better suited for mounting a laser system.

Mounting a light on top of the barrel seems a good way to clutter up your sight picture. Ill pass

Intended for handgun weapon lights....so you can switch from pistol to rifle with the same light.  Insight/Surefire/Streamlight should all fit and switches work.  If you have a wider front sight you can move the light a notch forward to clear it.  You can mount accessory rails on either side.  The rail is picatinny spec but some lights are very snug.

Bayonette shown for amusement purposes only!

Thanks for the picture. I hadnt considered the handgun lights. I would prefer something with a bit more illumination for a rilfe, though

Im having second thought about this mount. Initially, I didnt like the idea of putting a light that close to the (hot) fsb. Has anyone given this set up a good beating, such as at a 1000 + round class?

Has anyone else given this a try? I am starting to think this might be a good idea.
