| I have a Cav MKII lower. Bought the lower parts kit from a Cav Arms local Dealer off their list. The Hammer pin and the Trigger pin are the same. The Hammer pin won't go completely through my Cav! Isn't the Hammer Pin supposed to fit flush on both sides like the Trigger pin does? Do I need to find a modified Hammer pin and, if so, where might I find one? JudoEd |

Welcome to the boards. It's been a while since I looked, but I'm 99.9999% sure that if you read the instruction sheet that is usually tucked in the buttstock is addresses this issue. Or you could just look at the CavArms lower and see that the receiver is much thicker around the hammer pin so there's no way for the hammer pin to fit flush on both sides. |

My first guess is you're hanging up on the J-pin as you install the hammer pin... It sometimes takes a bit of effort to overcome the J-pin so you might want to save the plastic toothpicks for your next dinner party and use a 5/32" punch and tap it through... www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower |
| Have seated the Hammer Pin fully so that it is the same depth on both sides. Just not flush. Plastic works fine. Doesn't scratch or dent. Can drive it into a pine board so is strong enough. Have used it on other projects. Cheap and throw away after use! Appreciate the comments. |
