I tried search, but failed, I noticed my Hammer pin rotates when the hammer is moved, is this normal? The trigger pin does move as well.. The LPK is a DPMS. The pins don't migrate too much, its just that the Hammer Pin does rotate as the Hammer does.

normal

ETA:  but what do you mean by migrate?

ETA2:  there's a spring in the hammer that keeps the pin from walking out.  therefore, there is constant pressure on it there and that's why it moves moreso than your trigger pin.

seems like they "Settle" after moving, probably into the respective spots (J Spring and Trigger Pin into Hammer Spring)

As long as it won't wear out the reciever I'm ok with that, otherwise I was gonna order some new Colt Pins from Brownells.

they'll do exactly the same but i do have a colt fire control group for sale in the EE if you want to try it anyway

TBH, the whole reason I noticed it was after reinstallation of the stock trigger, IMO its creep is terrible. Tried to polish it up with a nail polishing kit, but noticed there's tool marks on the Trigger that the files won't get. I may have to look into what you've got

The only solution to rotating pins is to get those KNS anti-rotation pins. But the standard AR15 design has them rotating so it shouldn't be a problem.

DPMS triggers are pretty awful, in general. I really like my Spike's stock triggers. There's always the expensive but excellent option of a Geissele SSA.

If they're supposed to rotate than I'm GTG. I thought I read somewhere where that wasn't allowed, and decided to post here to confirm. Since this is a SOPMOD Cloned rifle, if I were to replace the trigger, it wouldn't be a fancy 2 stage or off the wall setup, a typical stock tactical trigger is fine, just hated the huge creep before the boom.

I swapped my pins after several thousand rounds through my DPMS lower, more for looks, but it did make my trigger a little smoother and less creep.  That said, some lowers have a second hole by the grip screw hole that a set screw is placed in and adjusted to take creep out of standard triggers.  Combine those attributes and I think you have a pretty nice battle trigger, replace with a JP spring set to your preferred pound pull and even nicer for fairly little money if you have a lower like mentioned.

I just have a standard LMT lower, no frills in that area. I did get the Colt FCG from the EE, we'll see how that works out too.

RRA makes a decent FCG that doesn't break the bank.

i have never notice either pin rotating, if you pin works it way out of the hole remove it and turn it around.  this has worked for me in the past helping friends out.

I did, it did the same thing. Hopefully these Colt "take off" parts are in better spec. I did measure the pin with a caliper, while the battery on mine is junk atm, it looked pretty close to the .154"

It's normal. The pins will rotate with use. Doesn't matter which lpk you use.

HUGE difference in my experience.  I have a Stag A2 lower that I swapped the factory FCG into an old EA preban lower.  The damn stag FCG pins were walking out and starting to grind out to shiny silver metal on the receiver.  NOT a good thing on a $500 pre-ban lower (I'm in CT, AW ban considerations are a reality).

I called SAW, paid a small ransom for shipping, but had the Colt FCG pins in the gun and they hardly move now. VERY noticeable and visible difference in fit.  I'm not saying Colt is the only one capable of making in-spec pins, but I know that the stag pins were certainly NOT correct.  I did go through the gun and replace almost every small part with OEM Colt.   $$$ but worth doing right once.

But to answer OP's question.  Pins WILL and should move some.

Brownells sells Colt too if you wanted to avoid the high costs of SAW.

Another way you can solve the rotating pin issue is to drip a drop of loctite in each end of the pin.  Just make sure you don't put too much in so that it migrates into the "shaft" in the center of the trigger and hammer and you'll be fine.  Much cheaper than KNS and does the same thing.
