Do the "legs" of the hammer spring lay on top of the trigger / sear pin (putting increased tension on the hammer) or are they supposed to go below and lay in the bottom of the receiver?
Along that note, I put a set of yellow JP springs in and had four "failure to ignites" out of about 60 rounds. I had the legs of the hammer spring on the bottom of the receiver. If this is the correct location for the spring, can I use the the JP Sear / Trigger spring and a standard hammer spring and reduce the pull a little? Thanks in advance..... BG |
| They go on top. Also, yes to your second question. JP springs are light to help with the trigger pull and JP recommends that if you are going to use your rifle for something other than competition (like self-defense) you should use a regular hammer spring for more reliable ignition. |
