Why is there such a big price difference in what appears to be the same product? MI handguards go around 139., Samson around $160 Troy and Daniel Defense even higher. I don't see a major difference. Anyone have an opinion?  I'm referring to non free float Carbine length. Thanks  GD

DD doesn't make a non-FF rail.  Troy doesn't either as far as I know.

Most of the non-FF 2 piece handguards are in the low $100 range.

Look at weight.
Look and see if the rails are to the 1913 picatinny spec.
Look and see if the top rail lines up with the top of the receiver.

There are some differences there.

I thought about that as well.  After I did some research I decided to go with the Troy 2pc FF.
I think that you'll find the difference to be that the MI is a bit bigger in diameter, and a bit heavier than the rest except for YHM.  You'll also find that Surefires' two pc design seems to be a little bit more advanced in my opion.  YHM isn't bad, but there again is the weight issue.  I'd just cut the delta ring off and go with the MI FF if you want to keep cost down.  My brother has one and he likes it, of course if you really want to save money get the MI 2 pc.  There quality isn't bad.

Ck with Bravo Company, they have good prices and good service.

I have a MI 2 piece and it is solid as a rock. I mounted a VFG and a light. I would even try my optic on it.

Thanks Gentlemen. Went with the MI 2 pc from Bravo Co.. Cutting delta rings sounds too scary to me. I'll free float the next build. SPR I think.    gd
