I have decided to build an AR-15 with a skeletonized lower receiver.  When I see other rifles with skeletonized lowers they have colored hardware and i have been looking everywhere for it.  Does anyone know where to get colored hard wear?  Another thing I want is a custom engraved dust port cover.  Does anyone know where I can go to have something engraved on a dust cover? thanks all!

Lots of places for colored parts.  Strike industries, primary arms, etc etc.

What is a skeletonized lower? like with cutouts so you can see the internals?

Also which parts are you looking for to be colored?

Most people are looking for ways to reduce pathways for dirt, debris, and other foreign materials getting into their actions. To each his own, though. Far be it from me to not help you with your endeavor.

The lower parts aren't going to be seen much in that one linked. The most viewable internal part possible would be the bolt carrier. There are a few options out there, from shiny things like Chrome, NiB, and even TiN coated, to aluminum carriers that have been color anodized, although they are typically "tactical" colored. JP is the first that comes to mind, making aluminum carriers. If you don't find a color you want, you might be able to get a raw one from JP that hasn't gone through anodizing, yet, and have it anodized in another color you prefer by another shop.

Wanting the results to look pretty close to this https://www.flickr.com/photos/simonov/16982452610/
Ill probably do a different color. I understand its not the most practical, but I've built a couple rifles and I'm just trying different things. Ive already got a practical one.
