Does anyone have a web address for the Harris bi-pod company?

Thanks,

I'm curious as well, because I've never seen one!  They don't list one on any of the literature that was included with my bipod.  They just go by "Harris Engineering, Inc., Barlow, KY 42024."  No phone number, no address, no website.

www.harrisbipods.com

Edit....  Actually now that I look at it that doesn't seem like the "official" Harris site.

they don't have a website, I htink the owner does not believe in having a website from what I've heard, he is kinda old school...

ETA: the website above does not belong to harris, it's someone who registered the domain and sell harris bipods....

You know what you are right.  One of the head guys from Harris was on another forum a few weeks ago stating that the Mr. Harris was about to kick the bucket and once he does Harris will be online and start doing some new things.

I ma glad I am not the only one who cannot find it.  I went to the Harrisbipod website and it is not the official.

It is amazing how a company that defines itself in a nitch market does not have a website.

I really am looking for any info on the swivel style Harris BP.  I have a standard now, but I am looking for another BP for my new RRA varmit.  I like the flevability of the Versa Pod, but I just do not get a good feeling or comments from the AR15.com readers.

Harris is quality and I would like to stick with them.

Any help woulmd be great.

From the Harris literature... "Series S Bipods rotate to either side for instant leveling on uneven ground.  Hinged base has tension adjustment and buffer springs to eliminate tremor or looseness in crotch area of Bipod.  They are otherwise similar to non-rotating Series 1A2."

Also: "The Series S compared to the 1A2: No difference in performace will be noted.  There is absolutely no shake in the crotch area of either series."

Finally from the Instructions for Attachment: "MAINTENANCE: -blah -blah   Series S Bipods have a hole in base hinge buttress.  One drop of gun oil every year or two will suffice."

That's all of the S Series specific information from the Harris literature, hope this helps until they can get some more stuff on-line... don't they know it's the 21st Century???

I love my -S bipods.  A KMW pod-loc is a must, though.  It's hard to tighten the swivel enough otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback.

As far as the Pod-Loc, I saw a post here for a website called www.t-nuts.com that has the same types of levers for less than $5, you need to look at it.

Dude that T-nut thing looks like an exact clone of Terry's PodLoc.....  T-Nut Bipod Lever  I wonder if he knows about that?

I have learned over the years, a lot of stuff out there is an old sheep in a new updated and more expensive suit.  I do not buy anything without searching first, and you are correct, these look real similar at 1/5 of the cost.

Glad to help.

There was a thread on this a while back.  They need some modification to work with the harris bipods.  Personally, I think enough of Terry's customer service that I don't mind paying the extra.
