| I am looking to buy a 16" Hbar barrel for a 9mm build and wanted to know if anyone knows the diameter of the barrel right before the threads. I need to buy a thread protector because here in commy NY flash hinders are illegal. |

Sooo...why do you want such a heavy barrel for a 9mm build? and why do you want to know the barrel diameter at the end? The threads should be 1/2x28 and I think this is what you are looking for. The barrel profile has nothing to do with the thread pitch.

And GM or other vendor does not offer non-threaded bbls. Buy one and i'll remove the threads for you no charge. If you don't have access to a lathe, or know someone that does. They do come in different outside diameters. |

(a) (vi) a flash suppressor, muzzle break, muzzle compensator, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor, muzzle break, or muzzle compensator; BUT since the SAFE ACT if you registered it as an assault weapon you could have a threaded barrel. NYS sucks... most LEOs don't understand the safe act, worst piece of legislation written..... |
