If I am using a new BCG and a new barrel, is there any reason for me to check headspace?

You only need to check your headspace if it is excessive to the point of being dangerous.
e.g. headspace exceeds that of a "field" gauge.
Why some random dudes on the internet might know the condition of your firearm, I don't know.

The head space is set at the factory when the barrel extension is put on the barrel.
As long as it was made within specs and isn't out of specs due to wear and the Bolt is made in spec and not worn beyond spec, the head space is good.
