This maybe in the wrong place, so move it if you must but...
What do you guys use for hearing protection in indoor ranges? I currently have some Howard Leights, which are great, but I do want to get something that is even more low profile than that. Does anyone wear SureFire ear plugs or something similar while shooting? I want something super lo pro, but with also good hearing protection. |

I want something super lo pro, but with also good hearing protection. The two are contradictory. More effective/higher rated noise suppression takes a larger volume earcup. Bilsom Viking V3 are about the smallest I've seen that I consider good for performance. Definitely wear ear plugs under good muffs, that's about all you can do other than shoot outdoors. |

That's what I do. I only wish I had done it way earlier in life, so I'm not always saying "what?" when someone talks to me!

| If you want super lo pro - find someone who does the molded injectable custom plugs. I use them for long gun outdoors so I can keep my head down. You may find them adequate indoors. When they are not, I double them up under Peltor Tac6's turned upside-down so the thinner part of the profile is on the bottom. |
