Hello! First off, I’ve got say this is a great community. I’ve been reading posts here for a while and wow, so much information. I finally had to register when I got my newest AR, an Alexander Arms .5o Beowulf. I have other firearms and can’t wait to post in other sections and join in on other threads. I figure this is the best place to jump in, hope you enjoy this quick little video I made. Hope you like it, I’ll be making more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OU9MxiiCTAs |

Hey, thanks! -I'm still learning how to post here... |

Nice. That was cool. I'll bet that BW kicks like a mule. The recoil isn't what made me wince, though... it was seeing more than a dollar fly out of the side of the rifle each time you pulled the trigger. Jeez I miss the old days of ammo costs. I recently shot some video with a GP Hero2 on the end of my OBR. What mount are you using? I made a mount using some JB Weld, a standard flat GP mount, and and LT-666. Kind of expensive, but it does the trick. |

The kick really isn't that bad once you become accustomed to it. You are absolutely right about cost. Each one of the boxes of 400 Hawk you saw cost $47.95... That's 48 bucks per 20 rounds. But it's worth it. I love the gun and one of the goals of this gun, with this round, was the idea of learning to reload. I've been saving all my brass and I'm going to learn this summer. The video was shot with two GoPros. A hero and a Hero2. The footage at the end with the mount breaking was shot on an iPhone 4. The mount is made by Strikemark. It didn't break. One of the plastic GoPro pieces broke. Thanks for the warm responses, I love shooting and making videos. I have more guns, and more videos, and of course, more videos with the little wifey. |
