Hey guys I frequent this site quite a bit. I just now made an account. Any how I was going to see if anyone has fired any 2 Vet Arms weapons? I saw them at Academy and they were fairly pricey($1500). Does anyone have any experience with their products?

Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you aboard.
I am not familiar with the manufacturer/assembler that you speak of and I have never heard mention made of them around here, but that doesn't mean that there aren't those who have. For $1500, I hope that you're getting a whole lot of AR, because that is enough to get some pretty nice stuff from some of the very well know companies in the industry. |

Just looked at some of their stuff. Doesn't look bad, but it looks like their big thing is the side-charger. I've never felt the need for one, but I've admittedly never used one either. Their site's $1300 carbine is what I'm assuming you were looking at for $1500? Or maybe This? In either case, They want $1300 for a rifle with a "4140 CMOV" (Chromoly Vanadium?) barrel, and other than the side-charger, there is not a whole lot on that first rifle that draws my attention over a plain-jane carbine. I'm not familiar, but those look like keymod equipped, two-piece drop in replacement handguards. No thanks.
If I were you, I would be looking to build one hell of a bad ass rifle with $1500 vs that, but it's your money and you are certainly welcome to spend it as you see fit. just my .02 |
| I appreciate the feedback. Right now I am not ready to build my own weapon as I am no where near knowledgeable enough to do so. The weapons looked decent but I just feel for that price its tough to beat Daniel Defense. I am also looking at the Jack Carbine and EAG but Bravo Company. Gotta support the weapons that fellow Marines helped design. I do like the LWRC products as well. |
| IMO for that money you can get your choice of BCM upper w/ BCG, and a BCM lower from Rainier, or GandR. And be in it around $1100, and have money left for a rail, optics, accessories, or ammo. You could buy a complete upper, and build a lower for even less. I know you said you don't think you can. It's very easy though and there are a lot of good how to guides online. |
