What would be the difference in the rifle components listed below and a Daniel Defense mark 18?
How is Lite Rail II in comparison to the Mark 18's? Lite II rail or Lite III rail? The RIS II rail is a 2 piece FF rail used in the SOPMOD program. The Lite II rail is a single piece FF rail that has more of an "I-Beam" shape with the 6'oclock rail hanging lower than the RIS II (though the RIS II is wider). Now the Lite III has the smallest and best (IMO) profile of all. |

If you are building a clone as close as possible you are going to want the RIS II rail. Of these 2 I'd take the RIS II because of the tucked in bottom rail.
