I'm looking for a mid-length quad rail and need your guy's opinions.

Here are my requirements:

Must retain FSB.
The less weight the better.
Would prefer smaller profile, but not necessary.
Would like to avoid permanent mods, but not completely against it.

I'm a  bit confused over the definition of FF vs non-FF.  I'm not worried about accuracy degradation on a 16" Middy running irons, or at most a Micro Aimpoint.
I see some require "cutting off the delta ring".  I assume this is for the FF models.  Don't like the sound of that.

If I choose a non-FF (assuming this is the one that does NOT require cutting the delta ring off) how do they keep from rotating loose?  Some type of set screws?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm very happy with the DD Omega 9.0 I put on my BCM Middy.

Can't go wrong with a Troy MRF. Their strong and really easy to install. Just cut off the delta ring assembly if you don't want to pull the barrel.

There is only one rail that exactly matches what you just described... The DD Omega 9.0. It's a great rail that has every feature you're looking for plus it is a FF design and has a built in sling swivel mounts on both sides.

When installed properly, the DD Omega has no movement or rotation. Trust me, this is THE rail for your application.

Thanks for the advice.

Looks like I can get an Omega for $260 and Troy MRF for $210.   ...........unless someone knows where I can get one cheaper

A Troy drop in will be a lot cheaper. If you don't need the free float and narrow profile of the Omega, I'd go Troy.

Don't worry about rotation, they are rock solid. Only reason I sold mine was because I wen't with an Omega. I like the narrow profile.
Can't say anything bad about the Troy, and the price is right.

Troy mid in FDE

So I'm considering the DD Omega, Troy MRF-M, and MI MCTAR-21; the last two being significantly less expensive....

So is the Troy MRF-M really 15.8 oz per Rob's Chart??  Their website states "only adds 7 oz..."   If so, that will help narrow the decision.....
