I'm looking at adding tactical handguards to my christmas list, and need a little help.

I really want to attain that "monolithic" look (continuous rail) BUT cannot install a one piece free float because my comp is welded on.  So, I need a two piecer;  I'll remove the delta ring if necessary.   I plan on mounting my Eotech up front a bit as I want to get a magnifier on a LaRue EO pivot mount on there, along with my BUIS, so, the solution will have to hold zero.
I've been looking at the Troy and Daniel Defense setups.  My other mid length rifle has a Midwest Industries.  It's ok, but very heavy.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Gerry.

I was going to recommend the MI one that your middy has.  I assume the one you have is the one that blts to the barrel nut and is free floating.
MI

GG&G also make a 2piece bolt on as well.  That one may be lighter.
GG&G

ETA looks like the MI one is 110z and the GG&G is around 16.4oz.

The Troy and the DD Omega are the ones you should look at.

Both are good to go.

I'm leaning towards the Troy MFR-C.  Shipped for $209 on Ebay.
The reason I like the Troy is the monolithic type look.  No delta ring.

Just scored a Daniel Defense Omega 7 on Bravo for $199.  Why are they so cheap?  Don't see it anywhere else for under $240.
