I have been on a weapons buying spree as of late and picked up a new carbine. It is a Bushmaster flat top, 16 inch M4 barrel, A2 suppressor, 6-position stock, and a 30 round mag with a MAGPUL follower sealed in a bag. The unusual things about it is the flat top had two Leatherwood risers mounted and no detachable carry handle, the front sight is just a gas tube with a shaved A-post, and the lower is marked "RESTRICTED GOVERNMENT/ LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY". I can not find this configuration in any of the Bushmaster sales booklets. Is this a new model?

SOunds like its one of Bushmasters new ORC (Optic Ready Carbine)

ETA, but I have no idea why the lower would say that on a new rifle

I heard a little about that one...something like an "orc" model (optics ready carbine).

Thanks for telling what I have. Should have went to the web site. Got it out the door for $799.00 and slapped my TA39R4 ACOG up on it as soon as it got home. Makes for a nice looking weapon.... Now to see if it preforms.
