Alright, here is the run down. After telling my buddy about my upcoming build I'm doing, we began talking about Lower Receivers. He was telling me that he has seen Stripped Lower's that have a magwell "grip" milled into the receiver. I've never seen anything like this before other then buying a "Grip" and putting it on there.
(example of something close to what he is talking about - instead of having the grip on it, it is milled into the receiver) 
I told him I've seen receivers with checkering and checkering like grooves, but never actual grips milled into the receiver.

I showed him those and he said that isn't what he was remembering, although he liked the last one. I'm trying to be able to help him to see if I can find what he is talking about. It's not that I don't believe him, it's just I've never seen one like what he is describing, If they are out there I've not heard of them and or they are not very popular. I'd have to guess the mag well area would have to be very big as it would need extra aluminum to mill out the "grip" in the receiver. Anyone know of anything like this? |
