I'm trying to install an A2 flash hider on a Colt M4 barrel. I bought a GI flash hider and washer from SAW, but the washer appears to be the wrong one. It is a flat washer and when I install the flash hider, it is over 180 degrees off -- the closed part of the flash hider is on top. I don't think this flat washer has enough crush for me to rotate the flash hider 180 degrees. What is the correct crush washer to use and where can I get one? I notice the stock washers on recent factory builds are black and appear to have a taper in them? Are these the crush washers I should be using? I'd appreciate any advice on this! |

Easy guys. arporro, is the barrel 16", or 14.5" long? If it is a true M4 barrel it will be 14.5" long, and you'll have to permanently install a flash hider that will bring the total length to 16" by BATF rules. If the barrel is 16" long, it is an M4gery and you can put any flash hider you want on it without permanently attaching it. Use a crush washer to index it, peel washers are a pain in the ass. |
