When veiwing the reticule of my Aimpoint, I see more than one dot. At first I thought my eyes were fooling me, so I had my brother look through it as well, without telling him what to find, and he saw it as well. That's 3 extra dots. All of them are very close to the reticule, just far enough away that the edges never overlap on the dots. This is very visible on higher settings (The two brightest) but can be seen faintly on lower settings as well. This is not distortion of the dot due to brightness. I only assume that somehow my Aimpoint has been breached and there is something on the emitter. The sight is a CompMl2 and has never seen tough use. |
I don't have any, but he has astigmatism (sp). But he is very familiar with the sight, I sort of "found" this for him, while looking through it. |
| Without looking at the sight it is hard to say what the cause may be, I agree with QUIB on emailing Aimpoint and see what they say, the most likely responce will be that it is how your eyes are percieving the dot, if so and you really feel like there is a problem with the sight keep hounding them until they correct it. You might also have a couple more people look through the sight to verify the problem. |
That's not dismissive, that's correct. He diagnosed the problem and saved you the time of sending it in for no reason. How is that dismissive? |
