Hi Everyone,
First off thanks for the help. I just recently bought my first AR. (Not my first firearm). I bought it at our local gunshow. It was advertised as a Stag Arms. After getting it home and talking to a friend about it, he asked what model Stag Arms it was because he also had one. Upon the research and taking to Stag Arms I figured out that it left the factory as a Lower Assembly. After talking to the dealer it turns out the rifle was a consignment sale and they were told it was a stag arms. Which kind of pissed me off a little i thought the dealer would have known a little more about it. I will do my best to describe it. After some research the BCG is a R Guns Nickel Boron bolt and carrier. The barrel just says 5.56 NATO 1/9. I obviously understand the writing but there is no other markings on the barrel to identify the maker. The gas block is a Doublestar gas block with picatinny rail. It has the doublestar logo on the front of the block and was easy to identify. There are two identifier marks that I have found on the upper receiver and only can confirm one of them. The one I can identity is a KEYHOLE (Cerro Forge) marking on the right aft side of the upper. The other marking is on the aft pin hole slot of where the aft lower pin is pushed in to hold the upper and lower together. It is a capital letter P with a dot (period) underneath it (one on top of the other). It is a Flat top Upper and has no name anywhere or lettering/number between the picatinny slots. Please Help Thanks Again !!! |
| Actually it was it a pretty good deal. I only paid 700 total and it came with a Aim Sports Recon 1.5-4 scope with a NC-Star Micro Red Dot on the scope mount. So i thought it was a steal. Now i know why i was able to haggle with them on the price. The dealer also gave me a one year warranty. Which makes me wonder if the dealer build it? After braking it down and inspecting/cleaning/lubing it. There was no wear marks on anything so I have shot it and zeroed the scope at 50 yards and it holds a pretty good grouping. I guess i am just being OCD and wanting to know what is in my rifle. lol |
